Spectrum of Love - original painting

from the series: Souvenirs from faraway places I have never been

Spectrum is a scale between two extreme points, a range of intensity and contrast between (using the scientific language) «emission» and «absorption». Even though it is very different from the rainbow, where the sequence of frequency and intensity always runs in the same order, love is all about the variation across a continuum.

In this painting, each petal reflects its own spectrum to give the impression of flowers full of light, almost electric vibration and heat - the sensation of LOVE.
